As we were hiking the trail leading into Allen Falls I noticed some dandelions along the way. I made a wish and as the trail opened up to the falls the magical splendor that unfolded told me that it would come true.

After a day of chasing Waterfalls around the Finger Lakes we ended up at Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge. After slowly making our way around the refuge we opted to stay and watch the sun set.

Trillium
The Trillium is the essence of the number three. The energy of three demands attention. This flower erupts scattered on the forest floor under a shroud of leaftops providing shade and protection. A narcissistic bloom wanting to be the center of attention surrounded by over protective trees. The Trillium will always catch your eye if you are hiking in the forest in the spring. Watch for their attention grabbing detail in white, pink, purple and red.
